The city of Hamilton serves as the Harris County seat. Located near the center of the county, Hamilton has a population of approximately 500 people. The county courthouse and Harris County School System are headquartered here. Most county government operations are based here as well.
Pine Mountain, Georgia
Harris County’s largest city has a population of about 1,200. As the home of Callaway Gardens and much of F.D. Roosevelt State Park, Pine Mountain attracts thousands of visitors and accounts for the majority of the county’s successful tourism industry.
With a population of just over 400, Shiloh is Harris County’s smallest city. Residents enjoy the benefits of quiet, small town living with convenient access to metropolitan areas within the region.
Waverly Hall, Georgia
Located in southeast Harris County, Waverly Hall was originally a “railroad stop” between Columbus and Warm Springs, Today, over 700 residents enjoy a close community atmosphere and the charming Village Green, a restoration project highlighted by shops, government offices and a walking trail.
West Point, Georgia
The city of West Point is located in both Harris and Troup counties, near the Georgia-Alabama border and along the banks of the Chattahoochee River. The 380-acre Northwest Harris Business Park is located outside of West Point.
Harris County also has its four hamlets, Cataula, Fortson, Ellerslie and Pine Mountain Valley.
